Exception raised during rendering: Unable to locate mode 0

android warning

If you are using Android Studio and you usually come across exception raised during rendering: Unable to locate mode 0 when you add RecyclerView widget or any other widget in your layout and the added widget will not appear in the layout preview section of Android Studio, then don’t get frustrated because you are facing a bug.

The good news is that the Google has fix the bug that causes exception raised during rendering: Unable to locate mode 0.

The solution is to update your Android Support Repository to the latest version and use the following dependencies instead.

compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:25.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:25.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:design:25.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:cardview-v7:25.0.1'
compile 'com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:25.0.1'

or the latest version of the libraries.

I usually like to keep trace of issues or bugs I experience why working with android for reference purposes or it might also be of help to other developers who are currently facing the same issues.

I hope after making these changes that everything is working the way they should. If you have any other issues kindly use the comment box below and get it across.
